  candidate 1) he is known to cooperate with corrupt politicians, consults astrologers, has two mistresses, is a chain smoker and drinks around 10 glasses of martini a day.

  About Hitler's supposed Jewish background:

  One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is whether Adolf Hitler was Jewish or had ancestors who were. The idea seems to arise from the remote possibility that Hitler's grandfather was Jewish. Hitler's father, Alois, was registered as an illegitimate child with no father. Alois' mother worked in the home of a wealthy Jew and there is some chance a son in that household got the woman (i.e., Hitler's grandmother) pregnant. Adolf Hitler was not Jewish.

  What should governments do ....?

  .

  what should governments do in order to protect its people from religious cults?.

  do you think the governments of this world are doing enought, it seams that democracies are too soft on crazy religions.france is the only one that is being tought at the moment.. only dictators and the like seam to be jumping on the witnesses.. maybe religions should be made to report to governments on a regular basis with a account of their activities , also an independent organisation could be used to investigate how religions and such things are run , and whether they are benifiting or harming the country.. but do religions like the jehovahs witnesses matter enought to be a concern to them?.

  I fully agree with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that states:

  Article 18.
  Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

  Although I fully disagree with the Watchtower I dont think it is a good idea to start a witch hunt on Jehovahs Witnesses an other cults.
  
  Because of the obvious dangers sect like the Jehovahs Witnesses do have, it is important that governments monitor these groups and interfere if necessary. Note that also mainstream religious groups like the Catholic Church can have a harmful effect on its members.

  I agree with Blondie that the Watchtower might document as much in writing as they need to protect themselves legally in this case. This is also because Bill and Barbara have lawyers as Lady Lee mentioned.
  
  The similarities between their cases and my case is the media attention. Although the impact from the child-abuse issue has a far greater impact than my little case.
  
  The quote from the Elders Manual by DakotaRed is also interesting.

  There are almost 1 million JWs in the US that can be affected by the publicity here
  
  Thats exactly why it surprised me. If they dont give any written statements there is less fuel for the media to use.

This in spite of my insistent request to inform me in writing instead of orally. In my opinion they were afraid for the media attention.
  
  I noticed that Barbara Anderson and Bil Bowen in contrast with my case have received letters from elders and the Organization in spite of the overwhelming media attention.

  Does anyone know why the Judicial Committee Procedures in the Netherlands differ from the procedures in the USA?

  Worauf bezieht sich die erwähnte “Erschütterung#”?

  some of the old timers here participated on usenet while the world wide web was just a glimmer in the imagination of tim berners-lee.

  Watchtower dissolves congregations?

  i have heard this from jws many times.

  they say that when the whole congregation is corrupt it is clearly noticable that jehovah's spirit is not with them.

  eventually if the whole congregation is corrupt the gb dissolves the whole congregation.. jws say this as if it were from personal experience.

  Hi The Star,

  I have no documented cases. But I know that in the Netherlands there were a few occasions that a ‘corrupt’ congregation was dissolved. The members were distributed among neighboring congregations. Not the GB took those decisions but the Circuit Overseer with the Branch Office and District Overseer.
